Heather + Ted + Finley + Lochlan + Rylan | Kingston & Brockville, Ontario Family Photographer

Wednesday 26 February 2014

You don't need sunny skies and warm weather to get fantastic family portraits. The best time of year is whenever you are all together. If you're looking to capture the love and joy of your family, don't wait. And the very best location, of course, is your home.

I got to spend a chilly February afternoon with Heather and Ted and their three great boys. Not to mention their awesome dog Elvis. They were so much fun.

The boys have so much energy. I wish I could just bottle it up and take it home with me.

Finley is such a sweet guy. He loves hockey, football, Pokemon and reading. He told me he does not like girls. ;)

Oh, Lochlan you are a wild boy! I had to work to keep up with this little guy, but it was definitely worth it. He had the biggest smile. And as I was leaving I even got a kiss from him.

The boys (and adults) needed a break and a snack.

The break didn't last for long though. Notice Dad's belt buckle? And I caught Finley putting on his cape in his room. I think this family has a secret. What was obvious was how much they loved superheroes.

Thirty year goggles on - one day Mom and Dad will wonder how this little guy grew up so quickly.

Just love this photo of Heather with Rylan. He's just adorable!

Lookin' good Elvis! That's why I love in-home sessions, everyone in the family gets to be in the photos.

I had a great time with this family and their beautiful boys.

What can I say about being around Debra, Mark and Oliver? They were the warmest, most welcoming family. And I could just feel the whole time I was there how much love was in their home. And by the huge smiles Oliver kept giving Mom and Dad, you could definitely tell he felt it too.

Debra is originally from Australia. The funny thing is, before Mark and her met Mark visited Australia and was in the same city probably at the same time Debra was. It wasn't until later that they met one another in Banff. It must have been meant to be that their paths would cross. And now they've come back to Mark's hometown.

Oliver had the BIGGEST smile for such a little guy. He is such a happy baby. He's got some pretty awesome parents so I guess he's got something to be happy about. ;)

Why, hello blue eyes! I don't think he's going to have any problems wrapping people around his little finger.

Even without any clothes on, Oliver was one content little man. However, I think Mom was making some funny faces at this point.

This session was really a pleasure. These three are just genuinely great people. Thanks for welcoming me into your home.
